If you follow me on Twitter, you would've known that last night the BF had a little bit of a lovefest with the game Angry Birds on his new iPhone 4, not the 3GS like I have.
In honor of the big V-day, he purchased some last-minute chocolate covered strawberries and some other ice cream dessert that my ass didn't really need after that workout. BUT, I sampled a few bites of it anyway.
However, that was the extent of the lovey-dovey day because he was absolutlely consumed by the game on the phone which he swore he would never become addicted to. (It hasn't even been a week yet.)

christmas tree hunting
If you are in the midwest, chances are you got a little or a lot of snow this weekend. I convinced the BF that this would be the perfect weekend to go purchase our first live Christmas tree.
When we lived in the apartment, we had a little dwarf fake tree that didn't quite cut it so when this holiday season came around, I knew we needed to kick it off with a bang.
First things first - the BF is somewhat of an organized person. Like when we were looking at Xmas lights, he needed to strategically think about which lights work the best on the front bushes and calculated how long of an extension cord he needed. (I was huffing and puffing to get the hell outta Home Depot and just pick up some lights and cords, hoping it would all work out.)
So.
Let's just say I wasn't sure how much patience he would have for me and my tree hunting. When I'm shopping for anything, I like to look at all my options whether that's buying toilet paper, purses, shoes or cereal. I like to have options.
I was looking for the right tree that I only I could picture that was 6-7 feet and the right fullness. He was picking out short and fat ones but I really saw something with more height and fullness. I also almost saw the snow up close and personal because I almost fell twice and one of which was caught on film. Of course.

And, here it is, all dressed up. When we were shopping for ornaments, I let the BF pick silver versus gold but lucky for him, I had more ornaments my mom gave me.
Do you have a fake or a real tree

director's cut
As part of my Chevy test drive for the month, I have to film a few vlogs to accompany my posts both on my blog and here. I asked the BF to help me film a simple, yes a simple intro, and nothing with him every turns out to be simple with him as you will see below.
Here is the actual video:

And here is what it took to get there:

Hair care woes
" Hi, I'm looking to order some of the Tresemme hair paste. I was unable to find it in CVS, Giant Eage, Walgreens or Target."
Silence.
"Oh, I see, they are no longer stocking the product."
More silence.
"Well I'd like to purchase 5 of them. Oh, free shipping over $25 orders? Then I'd like another paste please."
Above is a sample of the conversation I laughed my ass to last night when the bf was on the phone with some drug store distributor. The bf made me go to all those stores with him, looking for this special tresemme hair paste.
After he hung up, he turned around to see me almost in tears typing away.
"Don't you dare tweet that!"
Oops, too late for that.
Silence.

don't mess with my iTunes
Just a Tuesday night conversation.
BF: "Allison, this computer is running really slow. I'm going to get rid some of your unused applications."
Me: "Ok, so you know what you are doing?"
BF: "Look at all this shit. You don't even USE half of these programs."
Me: "Whatever, just make it run faster. I need to get another one anyway."
About an hour later....
BF: "Babe, watch how fast this boots now."
Watching it boot up and not noticing anything better yet.
Me: "Load iTunes at the same, then we will know if you made it run faster."
About five minutes later....
BF: "Um, I think I have to restore iTunes."
Me: "Why? Don't mess with it - I have the newest version."
BF: "Um. I think I deleted an iTunes program."
Me: "Way to go Macintosh!"
20 minutes later..... and he's still messing with it, trying to fix my library.
Lady Gaga better not be missing off there or there will be hell to pay.

Tiger Tiger Woods y'all
Since Wii has been released, the BF has wanted to buy one. I really thought we would get one this Christmas because he bought one for his cousins, but we didn't end up buying one after all.
He still has his PS2 that is hooked up to the non-HD TV in the bedroom. Every now and then, he will rent a video game and play it nonstop for two weeks straight. He loses interest and then stops playing.
Well, he found some new Tiger Woods game and has been playing it for the last week. It's a pretty funny sight because I'm sitting in bed reading and he's playing along as Tiger Woods. (I do have a picture and some funny video clips, but he won't let me post them because he's not wearing a shirt. I'll have to catch him when he's not looking again. It's priceless commentary!)
Anyway, you can change your player to look like you and he's convinced it does.
BF: Allison, Don't you think he looks like me? (pointing to the TV screen)
Me: Looking away from my book, "Um, no not really."
BF: Flabbergasted by my reaction, "WHATTTT?"
Me: "BF, it's an avatar. It doesn't really look like you."
BF: "But I gave him a hat and his hair kinda looks like mine."
Me: Amusing him for the last time, "Nope. Sorry. I still don't see the resemblance."
The other night he won the tournament and bought his avatar new Converse shoes and an outfit. He said he wanted to wake me up to celebrate his faux winnings. I'm glad he didn't because I would've killed the kid. Waking up your girlfriend because you won a PS2 tournament? Not worthy of a wake up.
The BF also does this bob and weave dance when he's playing, especially if the music comes up. He even makes up words to the songs sometimes. Like if I ask him a question, he'll sing his answer along with the music.
My next task is to catch him on tape with a shirt on. Although the video may be littered with a few F-bombs because when his avatar misses a put, you better believe there are F-bombs flying all over the place.
Who knew a video game could do all that?
