who brought chocolate strawberry shots to Christmas eve?

Well, that was fast. Christmas came and went so quickly this year and seems to go quicker each year, doesn't it?

Since we've been dating 4.5 years, the BF and I started to spend Christmas Eve together last year and spent Christmas together this year at the BF's family's house. Our families live 1.5 hours from each other so we've typically spent them apart.

We kicked off the holiday celebration at Greg and Jules' house on Xmas eve. Here are a few pictures from the evening.

getting ready for the chocolate strawberry shots, which were the ultimate demise of my younger brother

My aunt decided to introduce chocolate strawberry shots to Christmas eve this year. Normally, we have Great Lakes Christmas ale flowing as you may remember from last year and my brother's antics. Well, let's just say a few shots of this can leave you sent up to bed at 10:30 p.m. by your mom when you are 26 years old. (I'm looking at you little Greg!)

We made multiple family members try this shots, including my mom, who describes the shot as "potent" after we had to explain how to do a shot by biting the whole thing at once. New concept, I know.

If you have to many of these combined with homemade Coquito and Christmas ale, chances are you also went to bed early on Christmas eve too! Just ask my brother who asked that I remove a hilarious picture of him nicely sleeping in his bed with Captain Jack, the coolest cat on earth.

How was celebrating the holidays with your family and friends?
